A Systematic Evaluation of Ergonomic Risks and Occupational Injuries in Deepwater Maritime Operations

Occupational injuries in deepwater maritime operations present a severe risk due to physical stressors and isolated operational environments. This study presents a systematic evaluation of ergonomic risks using REBA and RULA models across 12 offshore support vessels. Our findings indicate a high prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), pointing directly to the need for modernized vessel cabin design and mandatory workload limitations.
